Questions
How many spots are in the app?
I know I say 141+ but in reality it's a lot more. Right now it's 183. I keep on adding spots and don't want to change the number everywhere every time.
For how many spots is it allowed to wildcamp/bivy?
Currently it's possible to stay the night at 66 spots, with some seasonal restrictions.
Is it a one-time payment or a subscription?
It's a one-time payment.
Is it an App or an Ebook?
Both, but the app is the main thing. The map, the photos and the info for every spot all live in the webapp, and that's where I keep adding spots and updating them. The ebook is the same spots as a PDF - it's included, and once you download it, it's yours forever, even if for whatever reason I stopped maintaining Hikebeast.
Also note that it's a webapp and not an actual app from the App Store. You do not need to download anything.
Do you have the same thing for other countries?
I do not at the moment. Because I am Swiss, I know Switzerland very well, but making a guide for a country that I don't know so well does not make a lot of sense in my opinion. If I ever did this I would partner with other creators who know their country well.
Do you have multi-day hiking trips in there?
A few, but that's not the focus of the guide. It's all about nice spots and how to get there, maybe sleep the night and make some cool photos.
Do you need to hike to all of them?
For the majority yes, but there are also some spots where you don't need to hike at all.
