The Switzerland app just got much better
Five launches in a few weeks: new spots, a legality check on every spot, real swisstopo routes on every hike, a wildcamping report for the whole country, and a shop with my color grades. Here is what shipped, and why.
Many new spots
The guide keeps growing. The newest additions are built for nights outside: places where the research says you can legally sleep, and the exact pin to do it. If you own Swiss Gems, they are already in your app, inside the wildcamping collection.
A legality check on every spot
Every spot in the app now shows where it sits on a five-step legality scale, from legal to forbidden. Behind the verdict sits a full report: the named law, the actual fine, and the practical route to a legal night.
That last part matters. "Probably tolerated" is not an answer when a ranger stands at your tent at six in the morning. So the reports name the exact regulation, or they say clearly that none exists.
Every hike's real route on swisstopo
Every hike now carries its actual route line. Tap "Open in swisstopo" under How to get there and the official Swiss map opens with the exact trail on it, more than 160 routes verified against the official hiking network.
The Wildcamping Report, for any spot in Switzerland
The legality research used to stop at the spots in the guide. It no longer does. Type any Swiss place into the Wildcamping Report and you get the legal verdict: instantly if we have already researched it, otherwise we research it and email you the report. Free.
New shop: how I color grade
People kept asking how the Reels look the way they do. The honest answer used to be years of fiddling in DaVinci Resolve. The buyable answer is new: my LUTs and full timelines from some of my Reels are in the shop now, for your own edits.
